A sack-barrow waits at the door

Telling us to wait to be seated

Muted toned apron covering cubist abstract leggings leads us to a garnished table

The cavern rises above me

Rafters and beams speckled with history

Chai with handmade macadamia milk

Cows move over, this cafes vegan

Raw nachos with hand cut corn

Sour cream that's not cream

Is it soy yoghurt perhaps

Guacamole sates me

Thank the heavens guacamole is vegan

    A Poem a Day

Poems inspired by ephemeral contexts. Place, emotion, and meaning bound into rhythm, wordplay, and juxtaposition of images to create beauty.

    Intended to be read aloud
