Supine Fly

1/9/2015

The fly lies supine on the windowsill

Visited by busy fellows of his biota

6 limbs flailing like amphetamines mixed with semaphore

Hyperactive break dance spinning

Catherine wheels of insect effect

Flies live as little as 2 weeks

Whereas turtles can live for 200 years

But if you can't turn over then life is suffering

Better to be a fly

The fly that just fell

Off the cafe windowsill

Seeing the video, it looks like that poem was impro. Was it?
Cool.

Well I was sitting and waiting. Then I saw the fly doing its thing and was intrigued enough to film it. Then I wrote the poem later and joined them together with digital magic. To get the timing I recorded myself reading it while watching the video play back. surprisingly time consuming process but I like the result.

Wonderful. I dispatched two flies with the flick of my new fly swat thus evening. Well two flicks to be precise. I will need a lot more practice to bag two flies with one flick.
