Portrait of a drug

1/11/2015

Fragile crema pierced by bubbles

With gradients of brown white and caramel

Concentric striations emanate from an asymmetric stir point

Hot savory flavor, no sugar with dashes of milk

Creeping, plumeing changes to consciousness

And a small pavlovian sweet biscuit to compliment the addiction

Mind aches a journey through tiredness to anxiety

Globalised drug delivery industry

Cargo tankers of beans meander the waves

Beans waiting for buyers, for dependencies unable to be weaned

For profit from people programmed by product

Feel tired? have a coffee

Side effects fixed by tomorrow mornings beverage

Beards

A Man approaches most closely the reality of being a lion when he has a beard

Majestic hirsuite pursuit of ideals, a testament to the dichotomy of vision or sloth

Tantalizing chin tugging enervates the neurons above jump starting the internal wisdom engine.

culturally constructed statement, fashion, age, genetics and gender

Though 2 of 5 woman could grow an inferior beard this contrasts well with men's utter inability to bear children

Instead we men will birth our facial fantasys our progeny only significant to admirers of cultural evolution, bereft of consciousness and higher purpose

Left there to hide our self satisfied smirk of snark. The beard providing expanded living arrangements for the inflated ego

A beard makes a man like a lion

Supine Fly

The fly lies supine on the windowsill

Visited by busy fellows of his biota

6 limbs flailing like amphetamines mixed with semaphore

Hyperactive break dance spinning

Catherine wheels of insect effect

Flies live as little as 2 weeks

Whereas turtles can live for 200 years

But if you can't turn over then life is suffering

Better to be a fly

The fly that just fell

Off the cafe windowsill

Churning

Endless churning of procrastination

Like the ocean seeming a grey infinity

Tasks pass due float past

Anxiety's flag at half mast

Uncertain outlines coalesce into targets

Out of range.

Out of charge, out of credit, out of new.

Permutations ossified in a path.

Feet sinking into quicksand

Body fighting through molasses

Minds consciousness experiencing a sieve

All in slow motion as the exponential hurtle of finality winds up for a sucker punch.

I know what's coming,

I live hunched,

One permanent flinch

Sunset Park

Rainbow ice cream in Peace park

Sharing a seat that cradles our bicycles

Tops of Torrindurup hazing diffusely into the sunset

Drips race my concentration

Staining my fingertips psychedelic paddle pop. The road trains doppler whiz past

Intermittently ongoing peristalsis of space displacing town from water

Separated from its history, nature, and beauty

Seagulls fly backwards, arcing against their unwelcome trajectory

Kangaroo paws wave and wobble

The desert calls me, the unknown beckons

The known recedes into itineraries and forms

Potentiality knocks upon my minds chrysalis

Reality crests, a feathering wave

Aching to launch

lift off
